Step 1 –
Consultation
This takes about an hour, during which time I assess the site situation
and measure the border. I will help you decide what style of planting is suitable
for your garden and your lifestyle, and at the end of the consultation
you should have a clearer idea of the possibilities for your garden border and
be in a position, if you wish, to commission a planting plan.
Costs
For the consultation there is a small fixed charge to cover my time and
travel expenses.
Step 2 – Commissioning a Planting Plan
The borders are hand drawn to scale and include the plant names, quantities and
positions on the plan.
Costs
This will depend entirely on the size and number of borders to be planted. As
each border will be unique, it will take time to compile a plan and this will be
reflected in the price. As a guide, a single 10mx2m border would be £200. There
is a scale of charges for more than one border, or a complete garden
Step 3 – Planting up a Planting Plan
You can do everything yourself, or I can help by offering a number of options
from sourcing the plants through to planting them in the borders.
Costs
Sourcing of plants is free. For planting, allow £150 per day, which includes
travel within 50 miles of my home.
Step 4 – Maintenance Pack
A photo manual with detailed care instructions can be drawn up for each border.
Prices start from £15.
